Jason's Journey: The Red Hook Lobster Truck Hits Chinatown

On Thursday, September 2nd, the Red Hook Lobster Pound truck went to Chinatown.  The truck set up shop outside of the Chinatown Coffee Company, which was celebrating its brand new liquor license.  We met Jason, featured in the attached video, who waited patiently to taste his first ever Red Hook Lobster Truck lobster roll...and he waited a while.  His journey is chronicled in the video.

Lobster Roll Happy Hour Event to Hit Chinatown

Lobster rolls during happy hour?  That's right.  On Thursday, September 2nd from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Chinatown will play host to Chinatown Coffee Company's Labor Day weekend happy hour event featuring the Red Hook lobster truck.

The happy hour will be held at Chinatown Coffee Company, located on the corner of 5th and H streets in NW, to celebrate Labor Day weekend as well as Chinatown Coffee's newly acquired liquor liscense.

Chinatown Coffee Company has made a name for itself since opening, and The Red Hook Lobster Pound Truck, which kicked off service earlier this month, is beginning to do the same.

The Lobster Truck,  which is the creation of a New York based establishment that serves fresh Maine lobster, has had wild success thus far in the District.  Serving lobster rolls, shrimp rolls, and whoopie pies, the truck has become an instant hit with the D.C. lunch crowd.
