Police: Suspect Charged in Kidnapping/Sexual Assault Case

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a kidnapping/first degree sexual abuse incident that took place in NW. 

David Millard, 60 of Honolulu, Hawaii, has been charged with Kidnapping and First Degree Sexual Abuse, according to police. 

The incident occurred at the 1000 block of H Street, NW. on Thursday at approximately 12:45 A.M. A female who was in the lobby of a local hotel was approached by an unknown male who grabber her against her will and took her to a location where he sexually assaulted her, police said. 

Woman Sentenced 16 Years In Prison For Stabbing Attacks

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A woman has been sentenced 16 years in prison for two stabbing attacks last year, one of which killed a man, officials said. 

Quindetta Cosby, 49, of Washington, D.C. was sentenced today. She pleaded guilty in November 2012 to one count of voluntary manslaughter while armed and one count of felony assault with significant bodily injury, officials said in a news release. 

Cosby stabbed and killed victim, Paul Morris after an argument that started on the 2200 block of Fourth Street NE on September 13, 2012 around 6:20 P.M. On July 16, 2012, Cosby got into an argument with a woman in an apartment in the 600 block of Edgewood Street NE. She attacked the victim with a knife causing a significant cut to the victim's arm, officials said. 

She will be placed on eight years of supervised release after completing her prison term. 

Suspect Charged in Connection With Two Separate Sexual Assault Cases

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with two separate sexual assault cases, police said. 

The first incident occurred on July 14, 2012 at approximately 1:11 A.M. near 9th and F Street, NW after a victim reported that an unknown male approached her from behind and touched her inappropriately. A similar incident occurred on July 22, 2012, at approximately 2:15 A.M. around the same location, police said 

An arrest warrant was issued for Russell Clinton Jones on July 31, 2012 after an investigation conducted by members of the Sexual Assault Unit, police said. 

On Wednesday, April 3, 2013, Russell Jones was located and charged with Misdemeanor Sexual Abuse for sexually assaulting the victims.

5-year-old Girl Still Critical; Stable After Dog Attack in Md.

CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- The girl, who was attacked by at least one or more dogs has been stabilized, after being taken to the hospital in critical condition on Wednesday evening in Charles County, Md., officials said Thursday morning. 

The incident took place at a home in the 8600 block of Billingsley Road in Bennsville, MD.  The child, who was said to be in critical condition, was flown to Children's Hospital in Washington, DC.

The girl was supposed to be under the supervision of her mother's boyfriend at the time of the attack.  The boyfriend lost sight of her and later found her laying face down in the backyard where she had already been attacked, according to officials. 

Charles County Animal Control has taken three dogs into custody.  A pit bull, a bulldog, and a cane corso are the breeds suspected to be involved in the attack. 

Two Men Caught On Cam During Armed Robbery


WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department is looking for two suspects in connection with a robbery on Monday. 

The two suspects were armed while the robbery took place on the 900 block of Franklin Street, Northeast, at approximately 12:22 a.m., DC police said. 

The two persons of interest were captured by a surveillance camera shortly after the robbery as they approached a convenience store window.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male, 20 to 22 years old, 5'10" in height, with a slim build. He was wearing a full black ski mask, black gloves, black jacket, and black pants, and armed with a black shotgun. 

Persons of Interest Sought In DC Nightclub Homicide

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC Police need your help finding "persons of interest" in a homicide outside of a DC nightclub. 

They released a YouTube video of the people they want to question in connection to the crime. 

It's been almost a week since 24-year old Paul Tanoh was gunned down outside a DC night club.

Police say it all happened last Thursday shortly after 2 a.m., outside Balletto's night club on the corner of L and 17th street in downtown D.C., just four blocks away from the White House.

This video comes after Tanoh's father begged police and authorities for justice in an exclusive interview with WUSA9.
