WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Angie Goff reports Tina Fey stops by local Sixth & I to promote new book 'Bossypants.'
The award winning writer, comedian and actor is making her literary debut with memoir 'Bossypants'. The 30 Rock star did an interview with NPR's Michel Martin at the book signing.
Tickets for the event sold out in 12 minutes and when the day came, eager SNL fans and 'Liz Lemon' devotees stood in line for hours.
Fey addressed the contents of her book, what it's like breaking into the industry, being a female comedian (even touching on her Sarah Palin SNL skit). She talked about her exceptional career-family balancing act. The soon-to-be mother of 2 advised, 'take it bird by bird, moment by moment, and you don't do much else.'
Yoni Lee contributed to this report.
