D.C. Goes Green This Weekend

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Go Green this weekend at the nation's premier sustainability event taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday.

Environmental issues impact your daily life. At the Green Festival, see the most recent developments in renewable energy and green technology, and meet environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible businesses and organizations that are making a difference in our communities.

Located at 801 Mount Vernon Place Northwest D.C., the festival features an organic, vegetarian and vegan food court; cooking demonstrations; an eco-fashion showcase; a Green Pets Stage; hands-on DIY workshops; live interactive art; an organic beer and wine garden; and more.

Local clothing company, SustainU, which is focused on changing the way clothes are made to improve the environment and create jobs in the U.S., will be featuring their latest 100% recycled men's and women's tees at the festival.

You can find SustainU apparel locally at the outdoor retailer, Eastern Mountain Sports in the Dulles Retail Plaza or online.

SustainU wants people to change the way they think about their clothing, and how they live their lives. Wear a better story.
