Design Army creates Louis at 14th Dog Contest via Facebook event
In celebration of Washington DC's MidCity Dog Days Summer Sidewalk Festival last weekend, Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4, https://www.facebook.com/MidCityDogDays, @MidCityDogDays, along 14th Street NW in the U Street Corridor, Louis at 14th has launched a nationwide Dog Contest via its Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/events/551444418224193/, with more than 130 dogs entered to date.
Developed by one of Washington, DC’s leading design firm’s, Design Army, www.designarmy.com, @DesignArmy, https://www.facebook.com/DesignArmy, the dog contest began on July 9th and will conclude on August 9th with the Winner – the dog with the most votes - and its owner receiving a 16G iPad Mini and a Luxury Dog Basket. The Runner-Up receives a Wagtime Dog Basket.
Named by Design Army, Louis at 14th, @LouisAt14, is an upscale residential and retail multi-use complex with rooftop terrace, residents' lounge, and fitness and business centers developed by JBG Companies. Design Army has created the Louis At 14th marketing, ad campaigns and social media, including the Louis at 14th Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/LouisAt14, which now has more than 1,000 likes. Louis comes to life on Facebook and keeps everyone updated on the complex's progress and happenings in the community, as well as fun events such as the Dog Contest. Design Army also developed a street paper called D City that is distributed on 14th Street via newspaper boxes and in retail stores. It's exclusive to the neighborhood and was created as part of the marketing campaign.
Besides the Louis at 14 Dog Contest, merchants throughout the 14th and U street corridor in Logan Circle celebrated the MidCity Dog Days Summer Sidewalk Festival. Among them was Lori Graham Home at 1412 14th St., NW, www.lorigraham.com. Lori Graham Home offered 20% off everything in the store and on the sidewalk, drastically reduced prices for bolts of "trade-only" (designer) fabrics, and light refreshments for two-legged and four-legged guests.
