Lobster Roll Happy Hour Event to Hit Chinatown
Restaurants

Lobster rolls during happy hour?  That's right.  On Thursday, September 2nd from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Chinatown will play host to Chinatown Coffee Company's Labor Day weekend happy hour event featuring the Red Hook lobster truck.

The happy hour will be held at Chinatown Coffee Company, located on the corner of 5th and H streets in NW, to celebrate Labor Day weekend as well as Chinatown Coffee's newly acquired liquor liscense.

Chinatown Coffee Company has made a name for itself since opening, and The Red Hook Lobster Pound Truck, which kicked off service earlier this month, is beginning to do the same.

The Lobster Truck,  which is the creation of a New York based establishment that serves fresh Maine lobster, has had wild success thus far in the District.  Serving lobster rolls, shrimp rolls, and whoopie pies, the truck has become an instant hit with the D.C. lunch crowd.

The truck is only open for service for lunch during weekdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., as well as Saturday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m., but will make an exception for the Chinatown Coffee Company happy hour.

Okay...stop drooling.

Remember, this is a happy hour, so there will be beer deals too.  Chinatown Coffee will offer Lagunitas IPA and Dale’s Pale Ale for three bucks a pop, the perfect way to wash down the lobster roll's buttery goodness!

Lobster and beer.  Beer and lobster. What a way to begin Labor day weekend.
