Pernot incorporates seasonal changes into the brunch, lunch and dinner menus, with entrée prices ranging $19-32.

Seems like This Could Be a Perfect John Wall Restaurant Endorsement!

Driving down 14th Street the other day I spotted the Great Wall Szechuan House.  The small restaurant is located at 1527 14th Street between the U Street Corridor and Logan Circle, and though I've never been there, it seems like they have a wonderful advertising opportunity with the Wizards stud Rookie point guard John Wall sharing their name.

Do you think John Wall would be a good spokesman for the Great Wall Szechuan House?

Don't Let The Costume's Fool You

WASHINGTON (WUSA) --It looks more like a costume party than a sports competition as the eight women pose for their pictures.  But the fact of the matter is they're all about to engage in something pretty unique.   Would you believe they were all dressed up to arm wrestle?  "Being in an arm wrestling competition is pretty much as far from my normal life as you could possibly get," says Andrea Kavanagh, who works for an Environmental company.

Dr. Aziza Shad To Receive “Relentless For A Cure” Award

This story was sent to us by Lisa Pagano of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will present Dr. Aziza Shad with the second annual  “Relentless For A Cure” award at the Light The Night Walk on Saturday, October 16 in Washington, D.C. The award was established in 2009 to recognize an individual who has exhibited a lifetime commitment to the LLS mission – to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

“We are pleased to honor Dr. Shad, a longtime friend of LLS, with the Relentless For A Cure Award,” said Donna McKelvey, National Capital Area Executive Director. “Dr. Shad’s development of a Pediatric Care Clinic to provide on-going care for pediatric cancer survivors and her work to improve the survival rates of children diagnosed with cancer directly impacts the LLS mission.”
